Fall Gardening in Houston

Did you know that the Fall is the best time to plant in Houston? Many plants thrive in the milder temperatures, and a plethora of busy butterflies and other important pollinators are stocking up on precious nectar and pollen or preparing to migrate for the winter.

Featuring native pollinator plants not easily acquired at most nurseries, our horticulturalists have curated a selection of butterfly host plants that can fit into any Houston landscaping project. Support the native pollinators in your backyard, like butterflies, bees and hummingbirds by filling your garden with plants, like native milkweed and pipevine.

This year’s plant sale is online with curbside, no-contact pick-up available on Saturday, September 26 from 8 – 11 a.m.
