Xplorations Camp Parking

The Houston Museum of Natural Science
is displayed in black

Thank you for joining our Xplorations Science Adventures!

Summer is always a busy time at the Houston Museum of Natural Science so please allow yourself some extra time when bringing your child to, and collecting your child from, our Xplorations camps. Please note that the HMNS parking garage fills quickly and is extremely busy during the sign-in and sign-out times. We advise you to carpool or arrive early if you plan to use the Museum garage.

Please feel free to use our other parking options including the metered parking on the streets around the Museum, the free 2-hour parking lot in the Garden Center, or the free 3-hour parking lot directly off the Circle (by the statue of Sam Houston). Houston’s new light rail train runs down Fannin Street, and passes through the Museum District.  The nearest stop to us is at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston.

We highly recommend you utilize the alternate parking areas if you plan to arrive at 3:00 p.m.
