The Girl Scouts of San Jacinto Council and the Houston Museum of Natural Science invite you to attend the Girls Exploring Math and Science (GEMS) event of 2009. GEMS is open to Girl Scouts of all ages, as well as friends and family. Explore the world of math and science right here at the Museum as a troop field trip or a family outing. Visit the Museum's exhibit halls, swap with new friends, see booths and activities created by Girl Scout troops, play science and math games, try your hand with new inventions and much, much more!

Check back in January for more information to buy your tickets early to attend GEMS 2009!

Be a part of GEMS 2009 by participating as a booth host!

OPPORTUNITIES FOR GIRL SCOUTS
Girls teaching girls to expand their horizons!
Groups of Girl Scouts (4th-12th graders) who are enthusiastic about sharing their knowledge of a fun science or math topic are eligible to host a booth at GEMS 2009! We're looking for new inventive activities for this year so put on your thinking caps and apply to be a booth host today!

Interested in hosting a Girl Scout booth at GEMS 2009?
Download this GEMS Girl Scout booth information packet and complete the Girl Scout booth application  and turn it in to the HMNS GEMS Coordinator by December 1, 2008 for consideration.

OPPORTUNITIES FOR COMMUNITY GROUPS AND BUSINESSES
Share your career or your passion with the science and math enthusiasts of tomorrow!
Community booths immerse girls in the exciting worlds of math, science, engineering and technology and the careers that relate to them. GEMS community booths are located in the HMNS Grand Hall and have a great opportunity to reach out to Houston area families.

Is your business, non-profit or professional organization interested in hosting a community booth at GEMS 2009?
Please email the GEMS coordinator at aseeman@hmns.org for more information on how to sign up for a booth!
