Scouting at the George Observatory
Boy & Girl Scouts Programs
Any troop...or group can schedule a mission to return to the Moon in the Challenger Learning Center. The simulated space flight is adaptable for all age levels of Scouts.
Or come out on a Saturday afternoon have a mission, have a picnic, then when the stars come out, come over to the Observatory for a look through the telescopes! Reservations required for missions in The Challenger Learning Center.

Girl Scout Programs the George Observatory
Stay the night at the George Observatory in Brazos Bend State Park and earn your Aerospace or Sky Search badges. Friday night do the badge work, use Observatory telescopes, take a night hike around Creekfield Lake, and spend the night inside the Observatory exhibit area. Then do a Challenger Center Mission Saturday morning. Costs: Girls $38, Adults $12. Register before October 15, 2008: Girls $35, Adults $10.
