Virtual Summer Scouts

For the first time, we are excited to offer virtual scout classes this summer! Although modified from our in-person classes, we’re still bring you the engaging content, expertise and hands-on activities you have come to expect from HMNS. We’ll offer a limited selection of classes for different ranks for members of both the Boy Scouts of America and Girl Scouts of the USA programs.

While these classes are designed based on scouting guidelines and requirements, you do not have to be registered with a scouts program to participate. These classes are designed for boys or girls who are interested in the topic and can be attended by any child in the correct age range for the class.

During your designated class time, an HMNS educator will be on a virtual call with the class to interact with scouts, lead them in activities and answer questions. When classes require additional, specialized supplies, we’ll mail those to participants ahead of time. For this reason, registration is required at least 1 week in advance. We assume scouts have basic school supplies such as washable markers, tape, scissors, etc.

Classes take place on a single day and last up to 2 hours for Girl Scouts and Cub Scouts and up to 4 hours for Scouts BSA. The date and times for each class are listed below.

Spaces are extremely limited for this program, so sign-up to secure your spot! For more information on our offerings this summer, see the descriptions below. Prices for HMNS members and non-members are next to each class name. Classes marked with a an asterisk (*) are for Merit Badges required to attain the rank of Eagle. Any requirements that need to be completed outside of scheduled class time are written as prerequisites next to the description. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to us at scouts@hmns.org.
