From pins to badges, scouts of all ages can choose their adventures in a week of scouting fun. You can complete ALL of the requirements to earn your badges, including finding out about cool science and engineering careers. Scout programs are age-appropriate with the following approximate ages: Cub and Brownie Scouts (6-8), Webelos (8-10) and Boy Scouts (11-13 for HMNS Summer programs).

Scout programs are offered in Challenger Center Mission Control at the Museum, the George Observatory in Brazos Bend State Park or at MacGregor Elementary School (4801 La Branch St.) which is within walking distance of the Museum.
  • Scout programs at the Museum are from 10:00 am – 3:00 pm. Scouts can sign up for Before Camp and After Camp along with Xplorations campers.
  • Boy Scout programs at MacGregor Elementary School are from 9:30 am – 2:30 pm to allow parents to deliver children to both programs. Boy Scouts at MacGregor can arrive from 8:00 on at no additional charge, but must sign up for After Camp at the Museum if needed.  Scouts registered for After Camp will walk or be transported from the MacGregor campus to the Museum.
