The mission of the Houston Museum of Natural Science is education, and we value the contributions of educators to the children of the greater Houston area.

Houston Museum of Natural Science Representatives by School District

The Museum continues to find new ways to develop exciting and educationally sound Field Trip opportunities that will amaze students while reinforcing Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills objectives.
With the TEKS-based Field Trip Units, Teacher Guides, Science Discovery Hunts, and TAKS Discovery Hunts, the Museum provides teachers with materials to bring their Field Trip to life.  The students' Museum experience will help them remain excited about science throughout the year.

The Education Department regularly consults with teachers to continue improving the Museum's educational programs. To become a part of this process the Museum invites teachers to join our Science Educator Network. Simply e-mail ScienceEducatorNetwork@hmns.org with your name and the name of your school, and we will notify you about upcoming educator's events, professional development opportunities and special offers.
