Museum Educators Open House
Saturday, March 8, 9 a.m. - 1 p.m.

The Houston Museum District will host the 12th annual Museum Educators Open House on Saturday, March 8, 2008 from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m.  The event is free for all Houston area educators, school administrators, home school educators and student teachers to explore five museums and hear from representatives of more than 30 museums and cultural organizations.

Go to the Museum District’s Website to pre-register for the Museum Educators Open House. You will be able to download a complete copy of the MEOH program and your passport which will act as your ticket and bypass the long lines on a busy Saturday! Teachers are encouraged to use the Program to plan their day in advance and explore the programs that fit their needs.

The Houston Museum District Association is registered with the Texas State Board of Education and will provide educators who are at the event for at least 3 hours and attend at least three presentations with a Certificate of Participation for three hours of Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credits.

After 1 p.m. on event day, the Certificate of Participation can be used at all 18 Museum District Museums for free general admission, allowing teachers more time to explore the diverse institutions in the District.  For a list of Museum District museums, visit www.houstonmuseumdistrict.org.

For more information and to pre-register, visit www.houstonmuseumdistrict.org or call 713.715.1939.
