The Woodlands Xploration Station Events
Every Xploration Station visit can be a special and unique event! Each special event is specifically designed with children and families in mind. Visit the Museum for the current special events listed below.

Blood Drive
Saturday, May 10, noon - 4 pm
MAY-DAY, MAY-DAY, we need your blood! Donate blood at The HMNS Xploration Station in The Woodlands Mall on May 10th from 12-4 pm and get free museum admission for you and up to five of your guests!* Chick-fil-A will be providing snacks for all donors. Also, Incredible Insect and Dashing Dinosaur tours will be given throughout the day. We'll also have members of the Spring Chapter of the Barbershop Harmony Society coming to sing for us and Kelly Jones, author of Notorious Nora, will sign autographs from 12 pm to 4 pm. Xcavation Station
Here's your chance to see what it is like to be a real paleontologist! Dig up some dirt on dinosaurs in our dig pit. Tickets are free for members and $5 for non members.

Both events are offered weekly through Wednesday, November 14, 2007 and will resume Tuesday, January 8, 2008. These events are FREE with Museum entrance fee.

We offer Overnights for Scout groups and other groups. Learn more about and .
Birthday Parties
Ages 4 and up
Birthday parties include admission for 20 children and their chaperones to the X-ploration Station, plus:
- The use of an X-ploration Station space for up to two hours
- A theme of the birthday child’s choosing (themes are Incredible Insects, Dashing Dinosaurs, Crazy Chemistry, Fantastic Frogs and Egyptian Explorers)
- A fun craft to coordinate with your theme
- A kid-friendly tour of the X-ploration Station
- Admission for 20 children into the X-cavation Station dinosaur dig pit
Birthday parties are $250 for members, $275 for nonmembers and a $100 non-refundable deposit is required to hold a date.
