Atlas Beetle
Chalcosoma atlas
These large beetles come from tropical Asia and are often kept as pets. They can live up to one year. Adults feed on rotting fruits or sap while the huge grubs, or larvae, are found in decaying logs. Only the males have the large horns and use them to fight each other for female attention.
