Green Triangle Kite Butterfly

Graphium agamemnon
This dramatically colored, swift-flying butterfly is not common in the Center, but its unusual iridescent green spots are very eye-catching. It is a member of the swallowtail family, and is related to our native Zebra swallowtail. The caterpillars of both species eat plants in the pawpaw family.
