Mark Herman Frederick Mauthner
Title: Associate Curator, Gems & Minerals
Mark Mauthner joined the curatorial staff of the Houston Museum of Natural Scinece in 2002 as Associate Curator of Gems and Minerals. He has given over 30 lectures on mineralogy and curatoed over 25 traveling exhibitions, including “Where Does Gold Come From?” at the Tucson Gem and Mineral Show in 2004 which won “Best Educational Case” award.
Mauthner has also curated three major exhibitions: GOLD! Natural Treasure, Cultural Obsession GOLD! A Celebration of Beauty, Passion and Treasure Pacific Mineral Museum
