The George Observatory offers opportunities for Brownies to progress on their Girl Scout Journeys!

  • Passport to the Universe
    Join other Brownie Scouts on a mission to the Moon! Girls use teamwork and problem-solving to experience real astronaut training on the SS Observer.
  • Journey Tie Ins
    This program offers tie ins to all three Brownie-level Journeys and provides opportunities to address Brownie National Leadership Outcomes. Download the Journey Tie Ins.
    • Cost $15 per girl

  • Brownie Space Science Overnight
    Spend the night at the George Observatory learning about the stars, the Moon, and the planets in our Solar System as you work toward earning your Space Science Adventurer badge.
    • Cost $40 per girl, $15 per adult
      • Friday/Saturday 7:30 pm – 11:30 am
  • Take A Mission Any Time!
    Any troop can schedule a mission to the Moon on a Saturday afternoon. Have a picnic and hike the trails in Brazos Bend State Park. When the stars come out, come back to the Observatory to look through the telescopes!
