Annual Fund
We Need You!
As the only museum of its kind in the Southwest, the Houston Museum of Natural Science offers visitors a unique experience that entertains as it enlightens, stimulates, and inspires. The Annual Fund is a critical part of the financial engine that drives the innovative exhibits and educational programs that create this experience.
The Museum opens doors to new worlds with a wide variety of educational programs, ranging from exhibit-related lectures to school outreach. For example, collaboration with Houston Independent School District brings students from all over the District into the museum, offering 4th and 7th graders a special opportunity to discover the wonders of nature. Science Xploration Camps devote an entire day to hands-on learning and children become astronauts at the Challenger Learning Center. Whether on-site or in the community, the Museum makes science come alive in the hearts and minds of all Houstonians.
Membership fees supply just a small percentage of actual operating costs, leaving contributions from the community necessary to cover a million dollar gap. We thank you for your continued membership and attendance, and thank you for your generosity.
