Hop in and check out our small collection of living frogs and toads, featuring exotic Amazon Milk frogs, a Vietnamese Mossy frog, the Smooth Sided toad and our ever popular Marine toad.  Now located behind the fish aquarium next to the Dig Pit.  You may even spot our wildlife docents on the weekends with hands-on activities and touch items.

To see more natural life science, step outside into the Butterfly Garden and search the native host and nectar plants for butterflies and hummingbirds.  Our large Palo Verde tree shades a new observation bench,  or in good weather you might bring along a lunch for a picnic on one of our outdoor tables.

Please help us to preserve our collections for the next generation by not using flash when taking personal pictures at HMNS and at HMNS Sugar Land. Exposure to strong lights over time causes fading and deterioration of most artifacts and specimens.

Flash photography is ONLY allowed in the Grand Hall and the rainforest of the Cockrell Butterfly Center.

Selfie sticks are not allowed anywhere in HMNS, HMNS Sugar Land and the George Observatory.

For press and any commercial photo shoots, please contact the Public Relations dept.
