Nature Program

Outdoor Learning CenterOLC Hands OnJoin HMNS outside and learn new ways to connect with Nature! In-house expert and entomologist Erin Mills heads up a hands-on nature program in the Outdoor Learning Center and a newly-updated butterfly garden. Recent studies note that learning outside can spark the imagination in learners of all ages. The program focuses on native plants, life science in your backyard and of course, bugs!

The Butterfly Garden and Outdoor Learning Center is available on the first floor to all visitors.
