The Houston Museum of Natural Science

Donate Your Body to Science - Become an HMNS Volunteer!

All kinds of people volunteer at HMNS, from teenagers to seniors and science novices to science professionals. They provide vital support throughout the Museum, giving tours to school children and other groups, demonstrations in exhibit halls, presenting outreach programs and assisting staff behind-the-scenes.

Volunteering is an opportunity to teach, to learn, to meet people, and to experience a stimulating environment. Some of our volunteers contribute just a few hours a month, while others prefer to work several hours each week. Together, they contribute more than 55,000 hours of their time to the Museum each year.
