From the Surface of Mars to Hurricane Ike
Suspended above the T. rex in our atrium, you’ll want to be sure to stop and marvel at this ten foot wide giant animated globe. Watch as complex environmental processes unfold above you in vivid detail and learn to appreciate the “blue marble” as never before. Created by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Science on a Sphere uses high-speed computers, four projectors and advanced imaging techniques to create the illusion of a planet, Sun, moon or any other celestial body rotating in space. Get an even better view from the second floor!
Admission to see this exhibit is included in general admission to the Houston Museum of Natural Science at Sugar Land.
