The Girl Scouts of San Jacinto Council and the Houston Museum of Natural Science invite you to attend the Girls Exploring Math and Science (GEMS) event, generously supported by Air Liquide. The Museum will be filled with hands-on science and math for everyone to experience. Local professionals will be at the Museum to answer questions about their careers in the fields of science, technology, engineering and math.
GEMS event is free with Museum admission.

GEMS is open to girls of all ages, as well as friends and family. Explore the world of math and science right here at the Museum as a troop field trip or a family outing. Visit the Museum's exhibit halls, see booths and activities created by Girl Scout troops, play science and math games, try your hand at cool contraptions and much, much more!

Opportunities for Girl Scouts, School Groups, and Educators
Girls teaching girls to expand their horizons! Groups of Students (4th-12th graders) who are enthusiastic about sharing their knowledge of a fun science or math topic are eligible to host a booth at GEMS 2015! We're looking for new inventive activities for this year so put on your thinking caps and apply to be a booth host today!
Interested in having your students participate by hosting a booth at the Girls Exploring Math and Science event?
GEMS is a terrific exercise for students in group work and presentation skills. A great fit for Science clubs, Math clubs, JETS, National Honor Society and other aspiring educators!

Opportunities for Community Groups and Businesses
Share your career or your passion with the science and math enthusiasts of tomorrow! Community booths immerse girls in the exciting worlds of math, science, engineering and technology and the careers that relate to them. GEMS community booths are located in the HMNS Grand Hall and have a great opportunity to reach out to Houston area families.
