Saturday Merit badge Classes
Why choose HMNS?
Scouts will use museum’s resources, explore exhibit halls and conduct hands on experiments in working to complete all BSA Merit badge requirements. Our classes are taught by are experts and professionals in their field. Our goal is for all Scouts to gain the greatest understanding possible of their badge subject upon full completion of the class.
9:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. (Except offsite classes)
All classes are 5 hours including a 40 min lunch break.
$25 per Scout
Archeology: $35 per Scout
Scouts attending a Merit Badge class should bring a sack lunch. There is not a restaurant at HMNS Sugar Land to purchase lunch.
Scouts@HMNS has an open door policy - parents and Troop leaders are welcome to stay and sit in on any class. Parents or leaders are required for all off-site classes.
Scouts should wear their Class A uniforms to classes held at the Museum, but we strongly encourage the use of Class B uniforms for the outdoor classes.
