Mummy: the Inside Story
Mummy: the Inside Story was on display at the Houston Museum of Natural Science from Sept. 30, 2005 through Feb. 12, 2006.
For years, the only way to learn about Egyptian mummies was to unwrap them - a destructive and ultimately irreversible process. With the help of modern technology scientists are now able to perform CT scans, which provide a look under the wrappings and inside the mummified remains. Mummy: the inside story dove into current technology and took visitors on an exciting virtual tour beneath the sarcophagus lid - traveling to the past to learn more about life and death in Ancient Egypt.
