HMNS Summer Science Camps in Sugar Land
The basics of what you need to know! To help you prepapre you and your camper for your first day of camp, we have compiled this basic list of answers to some frequently asked questions including information about lunches, before/after camp care, directions and what to expect on your first day.
The Houston Museum of Natural Science offers educational Xplorations Summer Science Adventures for kids at HMNS at Sugar Land! Your child will have fun exploring science in a variety of ways through one of our action-packed summer science camp experiences.
Xplorations Summer Science Camps at the Houston Museum of Natural Science at Sugar Land are week-long, hands-on educational experiences for kids ages 6 - 12.
In 2015, we are offering the very popular paleontology campy Junor Paleontologist and robotics camp, Roving Robots and Lego Robotics. Also in Sugar Land, we have the exciting chemistry camps, Booms and Blastoffs, Junior Science Magic, Super Science Magic, Crime Scene Investigators, and Mad Scientist, and the physics camps, Build it Big, Star Warriors Acadey, and Waterworks.
Summer Camps at HMNS Sugar Land will be held weekly during the following periods:
June 29-July 2
Camps are held Monday-Friday, 10 am -3 pm. Extended day care is also available before and after camp for an additional fee.
Before Camp: 8 -10 am
After Camp: 3 - 5:30 pm.
Campers will have a supervised lunch hour at the Sugar Land museum. Campers will watch an educational video during the lunch hour.
Campers may bring a sack lunch or pre-order a lunch from Chick-fil-A to be delivered to the classroom. A Chick-fil-A representative will be at the Sugar Land museum until 10:30 a.m. the first day of each camp week. If interested, please complete the Chick-fil-A Lunch Order Form. Orders for the entire week must be placed with the representative. Cash only please.
