HMNS Summer Science Camps in Sugar Land
The Houston Museum of Natural Science offers educational Xplorations Summer Science Adventures for kids at HMNS at Sugar Land! Your child will have fun exploring science in a variety of ways through one of our action-packed summer science camp experiences.
Xplorations Summer Science Camps at the Houston Museum of Natural Science at Sugar Land are week-long, hands-on educational experiences for kids ages 6 - 12.
The 2013 Camp Catalog is now available for download.
In 2013, we are introducing the very popular paleontology camps Junior Paleontologist and Dino Claws and Shark Jaws, physics camps Full Tilt Physics, Fast and Furious, and Boom and Blastoffs, the exciting chemistry camp Mad Scientist, the social studies camp Science of the Round Table, and the geology camp Earth's Wild Ride to the Sugar Land location.
2013 Sugar Land Camp topics also include the return of the new and improved robot camps Roving Robots, Lego Robotics and Advanced Lego Robotics; and the very popular camps Da Vinci Science and Master Spy Camp.
Summer Camps at HMNS Sugar Land will be held weekly during the following periods:

Camp Information
Camps are held Monday-Friday, 10 am -3 pm. Extended day care is also available before and after camp for an additional fee.
Before Camp: 8 -10 am
After Camp: 3 - 5:30 pm.

Lunch
Campers will have a supervised lunch hour at the Sugar Land museum. Campers will watch an educational video during the lunch hour.
Campers may bring a sack lunch or pre-order a lunch from Chick-fil-A to be delivered to the classroom. A Chick-fil-A representative will be at the Sugar Land museum until 10:30 a.m. the first day of each camp week. If interested, please complete the Chick-fil-A Lunch Order Form. Orders for the entire week must be placed with the representative. Cash only please.
Camp Scholarships Available
Summer camp scholarships are available for students to attend camp at the Houston Museum of Natural Science at Sugar Land. Students must be interested in learning, have good behavior, and be unable to otherwise afford to attend camp.
The scholarship includes a full week of Before Camp, Camp, daily lunch, After Camp, and a snack. Deadline for applications at HMNS at Sugar Land is May 13, 2013
