And the New Corpse Flower is...AUDREY!

This time last year, Lois the Corpse Flower was raising a stink - and now, she has a new roommate! Donated by the staff of CultureMap, home to mystery tweeter @CorpzFlowrLois, our newest corpse flower needed a name!

Thousands of suggestions poured into the HMNS blog, and HMNS staff - aided by @CorpzFlowrLois - narrowed it down to our top five favorites. Houstonians had a full week to vote on the final name before it was announced today - the anniversary of Lois' much-anticipated 2010 bloom. After all the votes were in - Audrey was the winner!
