American Heritage Girls and Girl Scouts
Classes are for Explorer – Patriot American Heritage Girls and Junior-Ambassador Girl Scouts.
Like to explore, experiment, discover, and learn? Have you ever thought about growing up to be a scientist? Do you want to know how the Museum works? The Careers in Science series is just for you!
There's something new for girls that love science at the Houston Museum of Natural Science. The Careers in Science series will let girls do real experiments and sometimes get dirty the fields of archeology, astronomy, biology, chemistry geology and paleontology. These classes are a must for any girl that wants to be a scientist when she grows up or just wants to see how fun science can be. It's real science taught by real scientists.
In our field classes – Archeology and Fossil Dig – you’ll be out in the dirt digging up real artifacts or fossils. For the other class topics, you’ll meet the people that make HMNS work and go behind the scenes to learn what they do and how they do it. Receive the exclusive HMNS Dino patch and Careers in Science bar for each class you take.
The Careers in Science classes are designed for Junior through Ambassador Girl Scouts and Explorer – Patriot American Heritage Girls.
All scouts must have a chaperone. There will be no additional fee.
For groups: 1 chaperone per 5 scout.s
