The George Observatory offers many opportunities for Brownies to progress on their Girl Scout Journeys!

Passport to the Universe

Join other Brownie Scouts on a mission to the Moon! Girls use teamwork and problem-solving to experience real astronaut training on the S.S. Observer.

Fun and excitement rule as girls experience success as astronauts.

Journey Tie Ins

This program offers tie ins to all three Brownie-level Journeys and provides opportunities to address Brownie National Leadership Outcomes. Download the Journey Tie Ins.

Take A Mission Any Time!


Any troop can schedule a mission to the Moon in the Challenger Learning Center! Come out on a Saturday afternoon, take a mission to space and have a picnic. When the stars come out, come back to the Observatory for a look through the telescopes!

Reservations required for missions in The Challenger Learning Center. This simulated space flight is adaptable for all age levels of Scouts.
