Journey to the Stars Overnight Program
Junior Girl Scouts take an amazing journey into space when they stay overnight at the George Observatory!
Learn about light pollution, constellations, careers in astronomy, look through Observatory telescopes (weather permitting), take a night hike around Creekfield Lake, and spend the night inside the Observatory exhibit area.

Rocket Day at the George
Saturday, June 14
1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Bring your junior Rocket enthusiasts out for a day of rocket launches and a mission to the Moon! Kids learn about rockets and how they work, build a water rocket and then launch it. After the launches, we blast into space aboard the S.S. Observer for a simulated spaceflight. Kids become astronauts and use teamwork and problem-solving to accomplish their mission. Learn more...
Take An expedition Any Time!
Any troop can schedule an expiedition to the Moon in the BP America Expedition Center! Come out on a Saturday afternoon, take an expedition to space and have a picnic. When the stars come out, come back to the Observatory for a look through the telescopes!
Reservations required for expeditions in The BP America Expedition Center. This simulated space flight is adaptable for all age levels of Scouts.
