Live Insect Zoo
Housed in the lower lobby of the Cockrell Butterfly Center, the Insect Zoo is home to more than 30 different species of arthropod, the world's largest and most significant group of invertebrates that includes insects, myriopods, arachnids and others. Although insects are emphasized, the Zoo also exhibits some insect relatives, including spiders, scorpions, millipedes and centipedes, and the bizarre vinegaroon. Entrance to the Zoo is included in the Cockrell Butterfly Center admission.
