Cub Scouts and Webelos


These classes will complete Adventures for current Cub Scouts and Webelos. There are two available classes for Webelos, one for Bear Cub Scouts and one for Wolf Cub Scouts. Each class will complete five Adventures.

Scouts@HMNS is proud to offer two Adventures that are required by the Boy Scouts of America! These are denoted with an asterisk (*). In addition, several more Adventures are required for Webelos looking to earn a Nova Award, and these are denoted with a caret (^).

Note: Adventures completed indicated in parenthesis, * indicates BSA-required Adventure, ^ indicates a STEM/Nova badge.


Wayfaring Webelos (Hermann Park)
(July 25-29)
(Build It, First Responder**, Game Design, Tech Talk Nova Award and Webelos Walkabout**) ** Required Webelo Adventures.
Become certified in First Aid; how to prepare for a hike, explore game design and earn a stem nova.
A field trip around the museum area is included (Field Trip Permission Slip required).

Webelos S.T.E.A.M. Explorer (Hermann Park) (Sugar Land)
(June 6-10 in Sugar Land, June 13-17 and July 5-8)
(Earth Rocks; Engineer; Into the Wild; Into the Woods; and Art Explosion)  Learn the history of science, how to conduct experiments, explore concepts in art, and how to design and build devices such as catapults.
A field trip around the museum area is included (Field Trip Permission Slip required).

Bear Sleuths (Five Day Class – Hermann Park) & (Four Day Class – Sugar Land)
(June 27- July 1 in Sugar Land, and July 27-31, July 5-8 and July 25-29)
(Fur, Feathers, and Ferns, Forensics, Marble Madness, Critter Care, and Super Science)
Investigate the world of animals, insects, and plants. Learn how to play with marbles, and discover the world of super science and crime investigation.
A field trip around the museum area is included (Field Trip Permission Slip required).

Wolf Pack (Hermann Park) (Sugar Land)
(July 18-22 in Sugar Land and June 13-17 and July 25-29)
(Adventures in Coins, Air of the Wolf, Code of the Wolf, Cubs Who Care, and Finding Your Way)
Learn about the physical properties of the air we breathe and about coins and their markings. Discover how to read a map and its symbols, how we use math in our daily lives, and how people meet the challenge of a physical disability.
A field trip around the museum area is included(Field Trip Permission Slip required).
