Online registration is required for all virtual classes. You may register for In-person summer classes by email, mail, fax or on-line. On-line registration is preferred and provides instant confirmation. We are unable to accept registrations over the telephone. If you plan to register by email, mail, or fax, please complete the Summer Scouts at HMNS 2022 Registration Form.

HMNS membership must be current at FAMILY LEVEL OR ABOVE to take advantage of early registration dates. To check if your membership is still valid, call our membership line at 713-639-4616, or send an email to

We encourage advance online purchase of summer classes, before and after class, and lunch.

Priority membership registration begins:

  • Monday, November 29, 2021: President’s Society
  • Tuesday, November 30, 2021: Family Flex and above
  • Tuesday, December 7, 2021: Family Plus, Family
  • Monday, March 1, 2022: General Public

Please note: On-line registration begins at 12:01 a.m. on the date indicated; faxed and mailed registrations will be processed starting at 9 a.m. on the date indicated.

Registration Overview:

  • Exclusive registration for members until March 2, 2022
  • Online registration recommended for In-person and Virtual Summer Class at .
  • For email, fax, or mailed registration for In-Person Summer Class use the 2022 Summer Scouts Registration Form.
  • Family level membership level or above is required to take advantage of member registration dates and member pricing for summer classes both in-person and virtual.
  • The online ticketing system will indicate if a class is available. If a class is sold out for a specific date, the link for that date will no longer be active. For further information, please email or call the summer camp registrar at 713-639-4625.
  • We strictly enforce age requirements. Your child must be the correct age or entering the stated grade level of the class.

Email/Fax/Mail Registration

  • Only available for In Person classes.
  • One 2022 Summer Scouts Registration Form must be completed for each scout you are registering.
  • Registration forms with incomplete or inaccurate information will not be processed.
  • If your first choice is unavailable, we will register your second choice. If your second choice is unavailable, we will contact you for more information.
  • Forms may be emailed, faxed or mailed. Please do not do more than one.

Cancellations, Exchanges, Refunds, & Discounts

  • Class spaces, each sale will be considered final.
  • Registrations are not transferable from child to child.
  • Patrons who cancel a class or wish to switch their child from one class to another will receive a 50% refund of the cost of a cancelled or dropped class if notification is received at least 10 working days before that class starts. There are no refunds for classes cancelled or dropped less than 10 working days before the program begins.

The Museum reserves the right to cancel classes that do not meet minimum enrollment. If a class is canceled by the Museum, patrons will have the option to transfer classes or receive a full refund.

Scout Permission Form

Scouts going on a field trip stated in the class description, will need a completed and signed Permission Slip.

PLEASE NOTE – Scouts will not be allowed to participate in field trips without a completed Permission Slip. NO REFUNDS will be processed for activities missed due to a missing Permission Slip.

Health Form


A completed HMNS Scout Health Record Form or a BSA Part B Health form must be on file with the Scout Office prior to each scout beginning class. If a scout is participating in more than one week of class, the Scout Health Record Form must be submitted for the first class, but duplicate copies are not needed for the following classes.

  • Complete the Scout Health Record Form, available here and within the information document for each class.
