
Uncover the mysteries of the world after dark with this overnight experience designed for Cadette Girl Scouts. Learn about astronomers who work at night, take a hike into the night world, and examine the night sky as you work toward earning the Night Owl badge.
- Friday night:
Learn about light pollution, constellations, careers in astronomy, look through Observatory telescopes (weather permitting), take a night hike around Creekfield Lake, and spend the night inside the Observatory exhibit area. - Saturday:
Blast into outer space with a Chevron Expedition Center Mission! - Friday/Saturday, 7:30 p.m.–11:30 a.m.

Any troop can schedule a mission to the Moon on a Saturday afternoon. Have a picnic and hike the trails in Brazos Bend State Park. When the stars come out, come back to the Observatory to look through the telescopes!
