At HMNS, we love education and educators. That’s why we started our annual Buy One, Give One campaign. Each September, for every Family level membership or above purchased, we give away one dual level membership to an educator in our community. It’s our way of giving back to those who spend the entire year giving to others.
A membership to the museum means educators have even more resources and programming they can use for their students, themselves and their families.

Reaching As Many Educators As Possible
Last year, our community’s support of this initiative resulted in over 1,750 educators receiving a free membership. Our goal is to offer this opportunity to as broad a group of educators as possible — there are over 90,000 in the Houston area!
To serve this goal, educators who received a free membership in the prior year will not be eligible to receive another free membership in the current year promotion until all new, interested educators have been granted memberships.
However, to make continuing membership as accessible as possible to our educator community, the museum will be subsidizing renewals for these educators.
