The Houston Museum of Natural Science is a special place for many. Giving a memorial or tribute gift is a meaningful way to honor or remember a special individual(s) and support scientific initiatives and education at the Museum. The designated name(s) will be engraved on a permanent plaque affixed to the Memorial and Tribute Wall in one of the two locations. The Memorial and Tribute Walls will be located in the Burke Baker Planetarium (star plaque) and the Cockrell Butterfly Center (butterfly plaque).
Memorial and Tribute gifts allow you to honor and remember family, friends, clients and colleagues in a unique way while generously supporting science education programs at the Museum.
A memorial gift is a meaningful way to remember a loved one who has passed away by making a gift in his or her memory. We will send a letter to whomever you designate, notifying them of your kind gift.
A tribute gift is a way to mark special occasions or to pay tribute to an individual who has made a difference in your life. Tribute gifts honor celebrations such as:
- Bar or Bat Mitzvah
- Recognition of a colleague
The Museum will send a letter to the person you are honoring, acknowledging your thoughtful gift.
Donations will benefit the Annual Fund. Contributions are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law. To make a donation please visit our Donation page or call the Philanthropy Office at 713-639-4729.
