FAQ

Where do I drop off my child?

You will drop your child off in the lower-level Education Center. Once you arrive in the lower level, signs will indicate which classroom to proceed to.

These classes are intended to foster independence and discovery. You will sign your child in at drop-off and we will check your ID at pick up.

You are free to visit the Museum and Museum Store, grab a snack at the museum’s cafe, The Periodic Table, take a walk in the park, or work.  We will have a room available nearby for parents who wish to stay close at hand. Working parents may use the Museum’s free public Wi-Fi.

Please plan to bring an alternative snack for your child.

Absolutely! Please register for each day you would like your child to participate.

Yes! Repetition is the key to early childhood learning.

Please provide your child with a full water bottle, labeled with their name.

There will be approximately 1 adult for every three or four children, depending on class size.

We encourage you to stay and enjoy the museum during and after your child’s class. You will receive a comped parking pass at pickup to enable you to exit the garage.

Your child will not visit exhibit halls, but they may make an escorted visit to the restroom.

At pick up, you will be provided follow-up activities and prompts for areas of the Museum related to your child’s class. These should help you discuss with your child what they explored during class!

Lead teachers for these classes will be certified in Early Education and will supervise the additional classroom helpers.

For our Little Learners program, we require all participants to be age 4 or 5 at the time of the class. Participating children must be potty-trained.
