All of our facilities are closed now through April 30.

Hours and Pricing

This is a tough time for our community. We have decided to temporarily close our doors and join public institutions around the world in an effort to ensure the continued health and safety of our visitors, volunteers and staff in an effort to “flatten the curve” and slow the spread of COVID-19.

HMNS and our two satellite facilities, The George Observatory in Fort Bend County and the Houston Museum of Natural Science at Sugar Land, will close beginning March 17 through April 30. HMNS employees will continue to receive pay and benefits during this time.

In these uncertain times, we remain committed to our mission of bringing science education to our community. Stay connected with the Museum through our online collection, social media platforms, and video archives. Our staff will be bringing you fresh content over the coming weeks that we hope will make social distancing a little easier.

It is an honor to be a part of the Houston community. Like you, we are confident that together we will rise to meet this challenge, as we have done so many times before. In the meantime, please stay safe and take care of yourselves. We look forward to welcoming you through our doors again soon.
