Experience the nature of Costa Rica like never before with the Houston Museum of Natural Science. Tour the beautiful northwestern province of Guanacaste and discover the lush rainforests, mountain views, and white-sand beaches. Visit El Bosque Nuevo butterfly farm, where all the profits from butterflies are used for research, reforestation and acquisition of new lands for the reserve. Joined by Entomologist and Director of the Cockrell Butterfly Center, Lauren Davidson, encounter the small critters that inhabit the area and learn what makes them important.

- Exploring Rincón de la Vieja National Park
- Touring El Bosque Nuevo butterfly farm & reserve
- Snorkeling & swimming along the Pacific shoreline
- Hiking to & from the various volcanic sites within national parks
- Meeting various wildlife including birds, butterflies, & sloths!
